[Sharp like shoulders, Soft like olives, Sounds like in a dream, Sour like miso soup and old paprika, Sane like never before]
In this (un-) poetic patchwork of old iPhone recordings, I am cherishing the chaotic, bittersweet harmony that daily life is, when trying to grasp it on a gadget. * This video was made during Covid-19, and I thank my family, lovers and pets for playing a role in it.
Artist Biography
In her practice, Heleen Mineur (1994, NL) looks at ideologies and speculations around nature and care - through tropes, voice, and imagery. Working with image, video, (performative) text and objects, she takes things out of their everyday context, and cultivates rhythmic, fantastical and bitter-sweet realms. The complexities behind her work intertwine with a lifelong relationship with neurodiversity: attempting to unfold and extend ways of (visual) communication.
